Diving into practical game creation at Hanze, my team of four and I developed a 2D game around the theme of "Wayfinding" using GameMaker Studio 2. We created an engaging narrative across multiple genres, merging puzzle-solving and player judgment to create an interactive story.

Our game places you as Jeffry, a divine envoy for the Sea God, Vartej. Tasked with separating the virtuous from the wicked among sailors, your choices, informed by tasks and bonds with the sailors, dictate the game's diverse outcomes, leading to an immersive maritime narrative.

Details:

As the lead programmer, I devised key game mechanics such as the task system, inventory dynamics, and other core game functions. These contributions allowed for a fluid integration of story and gameplay, enhancing the immersive experience and bringing our story to life.
